About me

When your everyday job involves answering everyone else's worst days, it is easy to forget how to carry your own. If you are a first responder, military member, veteran, or public safety professional, you are trained to compartmentalize stress, run toward crisis, and stay strong for the public. But over time, hyper-vigilance can become your default state. You might find yourself feeling emotionally detached at home, struggling with severe anxiety or depression, or facing escalating work problems. When the weight becomes too heavy, it is common to turn to high-risk behaviours or addictions just to numb out, cope, or get through the next shift.

I specialize in working with frontline personnel, veterans, public safety professionals, and their families. I help individuals who are drowning in chronic stress safely unpack their experiences, manage the invisible wounds of the job, and break free from destructive coping cycles. I also work closely with families to mend the unique relational strain, communication gaps, and emotional distance that often impact first responder and military households.

Therapy with me is straightforward, practical, and completely confidential. Because I spent 11 years in the UK military and 25 years on the frontlines as both a paramedic and a police officer, I deeply understand the unique culture and operational demands of public safety and military environments. I know what it looks like from the inside. You do not have to waste time explaining the basic mechanics or politics of your job, and you never have to worry if your stories will shock me.
